Little Biography:
Ljiljana Dobra (Obradović), a poet and pacifist, was born in Novi Sad, Serbia. She spent her childhood and youth in her native village Pavlovci on the slopes of Fruška Gora. She finished elementary school in Ruma, high school in Sremska Mitrovica, and then studied economics in Novi Sad, where she graduated from VEKŠ. After moving to Croatia, he lived and worked in Šibenik. Profession: Economist.
The poet Ljiljana Dobra has published seven books of poetry (one book is in print), and her texts have been published in many appropriate collections in Arabic, Japanese, Indian languages (Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam), Italian, English, Croatian, Serbian, Romani, Bulgarian and Romanian. She participates in international recitals and poetry competitions, and her poetry has been published in relevant places and anthologies. She has won many international awards and recognitions, and Nigeria (World Institute For Peace WIP) and India (WORLD DIALOGUES COUNCIL INDIA) have appointed her peace ambassador.
- The poet is represented in the Croatian anthology of haiku poetry "Uncut Sky 2 (2008 - 2018).
In 2019 and 2020, Ljiljana Dobra entered the Top 100 haiku poets in Europe. She also writes prose, travelogues, children's poetry, short thoughts, aphorisms, and is also involved in art photography.
Ljiljana Dobra is a member of: the Croatian Literary Society in Rijeka, Matica hrvatska, the Association of Artists "Vjekoslav Majer", "Kultura snova" in Zagreb, Usua Australia, "Umetnički horizont" - Kragujevac and a large number of literary associations in Croatia, Serbia and abroad, and many international associations for international peace, equality, humanity, harmony and social justice among nations. She wrote poems at book " Shine of the firefly" collectionin Croatian, Serbian, and English; "Sun's Diary" is a bilingual children's book in Croatian and Serbian, and ,,ALEN MAK V MORE BEZ KRAJ’’ (FLAME POPPY IN THE SEA WITHOUT END) was printed in Bulgarian in Bulgaria. "Frost lace" was printed in three languages: Croatian, Serbian and English, and ten poems were translated into Japanese.
On November 20, 2020, at the Rijeka City Hall, the Croatian Literary Society awarded Ljiljana Dobra the award of the famous Croatian painter and writer "Borivoj Bukva" for the best haiku collection in Croatia in 2020 under the name "Frost lace".
