Her Belief Was Her Magic!

"Keep this always with you Bella, it'll keep you safe!", said Mrs. Robert, Bella's mother handing over her a band. Well according to the old lady, it wasn't an ordinary band, it was a magical one! A band which could save Bella in every situation from any danger coming towards her! It was Mrs. Robert's belief that till the time Bella has this with her, she's safe. 

"Okay Mom, anything else left or should I leave?", Bella asked her mom. 

"Yes my child, you may go now!", her mom said as she tightened her band's strap.

Bella had this band with her since she was 15. It was some priest that the family believed in who gave it to Bella when she had met with an accident that had almost taken her life! Since that day, Mrs. Robert ensured that Bella has this with her every day without a miss! 

But, this didn't last long!

It was Bella's college excursion wherein she had planned to go with her college friends. Since it was an unofficial trip, the teachers did not accompany the kids. 

Bella had kept all the necessities in her bag but she forgot the most important one, according to her mom! She had forgotten the "Magical band"!

It was a week's trip and everything went good until the 5th day. It was on the 5th day when the whole of the group was enjoying a bonfire night. Everyone was busy with the songs and snacks when Bella went to one side of the lounge to have a word with her mom. As she was talking, she found a group of men coming towards her. It was a late night and she was quite far from her friends to be heard. Nobody was around! This made Bella scared a lot. 

The men soon started following her as she kept on running away from them. 

"Mom, some men are following me! I'll talk to you later mom! Bye!", Bella said in a tensed voice and kept the phone. 

By now, Bella had entered a washroom where there was no one apart from her! For minutes she felt relieved, but she was shocked to realise that her magic band wasn't with her. The band who had saved her in the past 7 years, wasn't with her! Who would save her now! She was now worried. Extremely tensed. 

Soon the boys managed to get hold of Bella's location and entered the washroom. Bella had lost all hopes. But then as the boy came to touch her, her hand went up and she hit the boy hard! Yes! In spite of not having the band with her, Bella still managed to teach the boys a lesson. 

"Mom, I did it!", she informed her mom an hour later in a happy voice. 

"But how my child, your band is right in front of my eyes!"

"Mom, the magic wasn't in the band but in my hands!", Bella said and kept the phone. 

That day both mom and daughter had realized that it's the self-belief which is the biggest magic one can have!
