Appreciation (Part 6)

Continued from part 5...

In the morning, both had puffy eyes. Despite everything that happened yesterday, he was still calm. He knew what he was up to. He got ready for office. But, he didn't have any attention to be there. He left for her home. On the other side, she was getting ready and preparing how to apologise for her mistake. Would he be even able to forgive her? What would be his reaction? She was just about to leave when he came. They both were teary-eyed seeing each other. They hugged so tightly as if it was going to be their last hug. When they both sobbed for some time, they realised their shoulders were wet. She immediately confessed a sorry to him, at the same time, she heard a sorry from him. They were out of words. She decided to break the silence. She asked him to come inside. She brought him water. 

She was hesitant to start the topic. He didn't know where to start. She finally said that she wanted to talk to him about her decision over the letter. But, need to clarify to him about the cancellation of the meeting. She told him how she got busy in her work and forgot about their meeting and then her phone was switched off. She came home very late. She was missing something and then, she soon realised that he didn't ping her for a whole day. She checked her phone. Then she realised the meeting thing. He had a stern expression. She again asked him to forgive her. He just stood up from his place and walked towards her. He held her shoulder, tried to soothe her down. He didn't have any tears in his eyes but couldn't even bear her tears. He asked her to sit. He sat beside her and gave her water. She calmed down and told him the scenario, "Listen, I had a talk with my parents about our relationship. Impressed by your today's reputation, they got a bit sure about my future security. So they had no problem." 

His face was blushing as his eyes sparkled with joy. He was so happy.

 "But ..."

"But what ?? "

"They were so happy listening to this, I couldn't tell them about your plans to be in live-in a relationship. Actually, I couldn't gather that much courage to stole their smiles. Moreover, they eagerly wanted to talk to you and your family about our marriage."

He was happy and sad both. Sad because they were expecting something else from him and he had other plans. But, at least, they were ready to accept him. He was satisfied as he cleared the first hurdle. But, the game of life had unboxed twist and terms waiting for him. He knew that the acceptance of live - in a relationship was not an easy task, neither from his family nor from her family. But, he was adamant at his decision for getting her in his life. He had her, but not as his better half officially. Even, he wanted to marry her but was waiting for the right time. He couldn't even afford to lose her for the sake of right time. Just he wanted was a little patience, time and acceptance. He wanted to enjoy his life with her and to live it to the fullest.

 He was busy in his thoughts when she interrupted him. He simply hugged her. He thanked her for understanding, supporting him and being with him when he was least expecting that much support and understanding from her. She made a cute face and he laughed. He bid goodbye to her. 

He left for his recording with a smiling face. Everybody wondered what had happened to him? But, they saw a smile on his face after a long time. He did everything cheerfully. In the evening, he talked to his family. It was a bit difficult for him to convince them but he managed to do so. His family asked him not to hurt her and her parents. He assured them that he really loves her and wouldn't do it intentionally or unintentionally. He really respects her and wouldn't break her trust ever. They agreed to be with his decision only because he was assuring them. He pinged her, told her the whole conversation. She was happy. She informed her parents about their coming but, still, she didn't tell them about life in a relationship. Her parents were busy in making preparations. 

Next day, both families met at lunch. They greeted each other. Neetu and Sahil's joy knew no bound when they came to know that both had been accepted by each other's family. The only thing that was left was the highest hurdle, the last one. Sahil took the charge. He told her parents everything about their plans ....live in relationship....future wedding and all.
