The Fading Voices

The Fading Voices

What an irony of the world it is...

The hands that helped us walk,

Are shaking alone in old age home.

The arms that carried us for miles

There face is waiting for a single smile.

Those who laid our cozy beds

Are lying aloof on death beds.

What an irony of time it is...

Those who cooked and served us food

Look a long queue for the food they stood.

The eyes that showed us the world

Have faded their vision and all is blurred.

What an irony of time it is...

Those who spent their savings on us

Are living a life full of curse.

Those who got new dresses and gifts

Are wearing torn clothes as they sit.

What an irony of time it is...

The strongest of them have turned into weakest

The cutest of us have turned into cruelest

The two of them raised a family of six

But none of the six can make the life of two fix.

What an irony of time it is...

They are still the same parents for us

But we have changed over

As we grow from kids.

Smart and selfish adults are wicked.

What an irony of time it is...
