Know For Sure
Know For Sure
Know not
If it is less or more
Just good or better
But it feels great to have
Sprawling meadows of happiness
By God's grace
That permeates
From surface to core
Unable to fathom
If it is in
God's scheme of things
To sprinkle a little sorrow
On joy and ecstasy at times
To illustrate
The act of balancing
And make us realize
The meaning of whole
Or too much of a thing
Breeds contempt
And a different pattern
Is most welcome
Know not
If it is
One’s analysis of life
That finds trace of God
In both good times and bad times
Or one’s perception
That mends all bends
Helps remain composed and stoic
In the face of hardship
Yet ... know for sure
Too much of pleasure
Breeds indulgence
A speck of sorrow
If not more
Keeps us grounded
Helps surge and fly higher.
