Convocation

The college which was almost our home,

Rather a friendship battle zone.

Four years, strangers we walked in

Today it is time to take the best memories away.

As the ground is set for convocation day,

Leaving each other we dismay.

Meeting the families of our besties

For the first time seeing them acting differently.

Speeches learned by heart and ready

After years on stage standing steady.

Memories of four years flashing in eyes,

Tearing our hearts and making us cry.

Tomorrow we may not see each other,

New lives will take us farther.

Still, the spark of meeting each other brings satisfaction.

Completing our graduation despite many distractions.

But for the New chapter to start.

From the previous one, we need to depart.

Throwing our caps in the sky together,

It time to bid goodbye for our better.
